What Atlas Capture is

Atlas Capture is a free iPhone app from Atlas Capture LLC that pays people to help train AI for robots and computer vision. It appeared in late 2025. The work has two parts: recording short first person videos of everyday tasks, such as cooking, cleaning or folding laundry, and labelling video clips by describing what the hands are doing. Robots learn household tasks from huge amounts of real video, which is why companies pay for footage like this. It is very different from writing or coding AI training work, and it needs no degree.

How Atlas Capture pays

Labelling has been reported at 10 cents per labelled minute of video, with a temporary surge rate of 20 cents that ended in January 2026. Contributors can take extra assessments to unlock higher rates. Payouts have been reported twice a month, on the 7th and 21st, with a 20 US dollar minimum, through Wise or the USDC and USDT stablecoins. Atlas Capture has not published its rates itself, so check the current rate in the app before you rely on it.

What you need and how to sign up

You need an iPhone to install the app. Sign up involves a short form, an identity check, a 25 question test that needs 90 percent to pass, and a short example task. Contributors report a short unpaid trial has also been added. Recording tasks need good lighting, a steady phone and footage that shows your hands clearly without showing other people or private information.

Things to watch out for

Atlas Capture is very new, and reviews are few and mixed. Before you put in many hours, do a few tasks and test a small payout. Never record other people without their permission, and keep addresses, documents and screens out of view. Real platforms never ask you to pay to join. For steadier and better paid work, compare it with the platforms on our pay data page or see roles open to beginners.
